International Student Program
How to Apply
The program is open to applicants from any country interested in studying at the Grade 4 to Grade 12 levels. Students are required to submit the following in order to apply:
- A completed application form submitted with a non-refundable application fee of $250.00 CDN
- Original or certified true copies of transcripts from the current and previous two years of study
- Copy of current Passport
- Two recent photographs
- Any available English test result
- Immunization Record

Student Requirements
- Must be able to function in a cultural environment without the direct supervision of parents
- Must pay the transportation to and from Canada Homestay Program
It is a requirement of the School District that international students live in an approved homestay. One of the reasons for success in the program is that the English instruction received in our school is reinforced by the English immersion environment in which the student lives. Mission School District arranges homestays in private Mission homes that have been carefully screened and are monitored. Students will be provided with secure, comfortable and welcoming accommodation while studying in Mission.
Acceptance
Final acceptance and placement will be determined only after receipt of the completed Application Form and all the required documents. Students will be required to pay their tuition fee before a letter will be issued for Canadian Immigration Student Authorization purposes.

Additional Costs
International students, like all students, will be required to pay minimal costs for such things as school supplies, special programs, team or band travel, and special event costs as they occur.

Refund Policy
- Full Refund (less application fees) if the Canadian Immigration does not authorize the student to attend school in Canada. All requests must include the formal letter of refusal from Canadian Immigration and the original letter of acceptance issued by the International Student Program;
- Students who withdraw prior to their start date will receive two thirds (2/3) of their tuition fee and 100% of any prepaid homestay fees;
- Students who withdraw within 30 days of the start of their program will receive one half (1/2) of their tuition fee and the balance of any unused prepaid homestay fees;
- Students who withdraw after 30 days of the start of their program will not receive a refund on their tuition paid, they will receive the balance of any unused prepaid homestay fees;
- Students who are asked to withdraw due to a violation of school or program rules will not receive a refund, they will receive the balance, if any, of unused prepaid homestay fees and student will be sent home at the parents’ expense.
